Power Apparatus Seminar Series

Four consecutive Tuesday nights starting April 29th at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, 7000 West 108th Street, Overland Park, KS. Each seminar is from 6-9 pm with dinner starting at 5:30 pm. The series topics, dates and dinner menu (Vegetarian or Gluten Free available with advance notice) are as follows:

• Power Transformers by Greg Anderson on April 29 (Shrimp Promodora)

• HV Circuit Breakers by Andy McCabe on May 6 (Chicken Teriyaki)

• MV Switchgear by Walt Mailand on May 13 (Lemon-Pepper Chicken)

• MV Insulated Cable by Terry McWhirt on May 20 (Chicken & Mushroom Pasta)

To register for the seminar series, fill out the form and a check payable to PES-KC. Snail mail to Kirk Duncan, c/o Sega Inc, 16041 Foster, Stilwell, KS 66085 by Friday, April 15.

• Seating is limited and first come, first served. Registered guests will receive a confirmation email. Over-capacity registrants will be notified and their check shredded (or returned if you request).

• Cost for the series is $275 for IEEE members and $300 non-members. 3-PDH credits per seminar will be issued through IEEE-HQ.

• A registered guest or company can send a substitute attendee for any of the individual seminars. Your PES Officers would appreciate advance notification, if possible, of substitutions.

Why a local chapter?

This affords local members the opportunity to meet, network, and socialize with their peers while enjoying local programs.

A side effect of this is a local officership is required and that provides resume-building opportunities, leadership experience, and the chance to influence what takes place in regard to the local chapter. The time commitment is less than many people think.
