EXCOM July 14, 2009 meeting to order 12:00.

Excomm needs to have a Treasury meeting to vet the IEEE National Section Refunds Allocations. Treasury meeting Monday 7/20/09 11:30 Panera’s! All Excom and Society Officers needing clarification of IEEE Allocations should plan to attend or send a proxy.

6. Old Business:

Discussion on last month suggestions by Jorge Marquez & Todd Gardner:
Excom conduct at least one Administration Meeting face to face per quarter if possible instead of all the meeting through teleconference.  It will help in knowing the other officers. Todd indicated we can have at least one quarterly meeting face to face. 

The Chair will plan the next Excom on August 13, 2009 beginning 4:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Hotel prior to the IEEE PES Dinner Meeting. There are tentative plans to schedule the Annual IEEE KC Officers Training and Planning Breakfast for early November following the Officer Elections. This will incorporate another EXCOM face-to-face meeting. 

 

 Motion : Move to accept the following Calendar  of IEEE KC Dinner Meetings 2010 to facilitate planning and speaker commitments.  With the 2010 Section and Society Monthly Meeting Calendar accepted, Excom will incorporate the calendar into the new contract for 2010 when it is negotiated in August. The Chair encourages all Societies to identify two to four potential Topics/Speakers for 2010 so they can be posted by November.
