Menu:

  • Regular Menu - Salad, Dinner Rolls, Thai Grilled Chicken, Soy Noodles, Stir Fry Vegetables, Sweet Chili Glaze, Chef's Choice of Dessert, Ice Tea, and Water.

Election news. At this meeting:

  • The Computer Society, KC Chapter, will elect its 2012 officers.
  • The nominations for the Section officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary) will be made from the floor. If you want to nominate someone, please send that person's name and position to Mike Bequette, mbequette @SKW-Inc.com (remove the spaces). The actual election will be done electronically, later.

  • Topic: Cloud Computing: Why Your Business is Thinking in the Clouds.
  • Speaker: Nathan Brown, Technical Architect, CoSentry.

Nathan has a BS in Computer Science along with an MS in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology as well as an MBA from University of Missouri at Kansas City. Nathan has worked as a technical architect for Cerner as well as a local hardware reseller developing infrastructure solutions for companies in multiple industries.

Currently Nathan works for CoSentry, a leading regional provider of cloud based services, where Nathan serves as a Technical Architect helping design cloud based solutions internally to be delivered as services as well as consulting with customers looking to move into cloud based offerings.

Times: No-Host Social Hour: 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Dinner Hour: 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Program: 7:30 - 8:30PM

Charge: Dinner $30/25* for members & guests, students $12. No charge for presentation.
*The second price reflects your registration discount, if you register by the deadline.
Dinner reservation deadline is noon, one week before the meeting.
