Officer Job Description: Chapter Vice Chair

The Chapter Vice Chair is in training to succeed the Chapter Chair. The primary purpose of serving as Vice Chair is to learn the Chair's job.

The Chapter Vice Chair has these duties:

In October/November of the previous year

  1. Find a program and/or speaker for the last meeting that Chapter has in the following year.
  2. If an officer slot opens, finds a volunteer to fill it.

Throughout the year

  1. Represents the Chapter at Chapter events if the Chair is not able to attend a given function.
  2. Stays informed of Chapter activities.
  3. Attends EXCOM meetings if the Chair cannot attend.
  4. Attends at least one EXCOM meeting, regardless, for training purposes.
