Officer Job Description: Chapter Treasurer

The Chapter Treasurer is next in line to succeed the Chapter Vice Chair, then Chair. This position will demonstrate whether the officer has the mettle and discipline to function well as Chapter Chair.

The Chapter Treasurer has these duties:

In October/November of the previous year

1. Reviews existing financials.
2. Begins gathering the financial information needed for the L-51 annual filing.

In the First Quarter

1. Obtains the checkbook and financial files from the outgoing Treasurer.
2. Submits the Chapter's information for the L-50 annual financial report, to the Section Treasurer.

Throughout the year

1. Maintains bank accounts of the Chapter's funds
2. Maintains the financial files, electronically.
3. Pays the event host for Chapter meetings.
4. Submits a Treasurer's Report to the other Chapter officers (Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary) by the middle of the month if there was an expenditure in the previous month.
