Officer Job Description: Chapter Past Chair

The Past Chair of a Chapter (Society or Affinity Group) is not the supervisor of the that group's Chair.

The Chapter Past Chair:

Ensures smooth turnover to the incoming Chair.
Chairs the Nomination Committee, and should begin forming that committee in the month immediately following the end of his/her chairmanship (January).
Defers to the Chair.
Assists the Chair as called upon.
