It is an intelligent future electricity system that connects all supply, grid, and demand elements through an intelligent communication system. This presentation will examine the structure and elements of the current grid, the drivers for moving to a smarter grid, and a proposed information and control architecture for the realization of an end-to-end Smart Grid.
