Program:
Engineering Education: Past, Present, and Future Kevin Z. Truman, Ph.D., is Dean of the School of Computing and Engineering (SCE) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). He will share his thoughts on engineering education.

Bio: Prior to his 2008 appointment as Dean of SCE, Dr. Truman was chair of the department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Structural Engineering and the Albert P. and Blanche Y. Greensfelder Professor of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. He was a member of the faculty since 1985. He was chair of the Department of Civil Engineering from 1998 – 2007. Dr. Truman also served as the Dean of the University of Missouri – St. Louis/Washington University Joint Undergraduate Engineering Program from 2006-2008. Dr. Truman received his PhD from the University of Missouri-Rolla, his MS and BS engineering degrees from Washington University, and his BA degree (Physics & mathematics) from Monmouth College. |
