IEEE KC PACE Presents a KC FIRST Robotics Team from Paola High School.

Come enjoy the presentation and learn how to expand the minds of students and grow your network and career at the same time. KC FIRST leaders, and the Paola High School sponsors and students will share their experiences and reflect on the rewards for IEEE Members and their communities.

The goal of FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology) is to help young people recognize the opportunity, power, and joy of solving problems through science, technology, and engineering.

Founded in 1989 by entrepreneur and inventor Dean Kamen, FIRST is a multinational nonprofit organization, that seeks to transform culture, making science, math, engineering, and technology as cool for kids as sports are today.

Dir: Exit I-435 Metcalf Ave N. Go 1/4 km to 107th St. Turn right. Take immed. right @ BP. Go 100 meters; hotel is on your left.


Times: No-Host Social Hour: 5:30 - 6:00 PM
Dinner Hour: 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Program: 7:30 - 8:30PM

Charge: Dinner $25/20* for members & guests, students $15. No charge for presentation.
*The second price reflects your registration discount, if you register by the deadline.
Dinner reservation deadline is noon on August 13.

The cash bar at mealtime now offers added variety to your beverage options:

  • House Wine $4.00
  • Domestic Beer $3.50
  • Imported Beer $4.00
  • Bottled Water $2.50
  • Soft Drinks $2.00
