Radar Conference

The IEEE, Kansas City Section has agreed to sponsor the 2011 IEEE Radar Conference, to be held at the Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, MO the week of May 23-27, 2011.

As will be established in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU):

As a co-sponsor with the Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society of IEEE, the Kansas City Section will be entitled to a percentage of the monetary surplus of the conference as determined by the respective party’s sponsorship contribution. The IEEE Radar Conference is the preeminent conference in the field of radar held annually in the US and is attended by world-renowned experts in radar systems and advanced radar technology.

If you have any questions, contact radarconf @ieee.kc.org (paste into your e-mail client and remove the spaces; we don't do live e-mail links due to spambots).

Thought for the Day
It takes less effort to plan and execute than to save a project that's in trouble due to lack of planning and execution.

Send Us Your News

If you have information of interest to IEEE Kansas City Section members, please send that to the Publications Officer (writer @ ieee.org). Here are some examples of what we're looking for:

News pertaining to individual IEEE members of all grades, including students:

  • Awards, promotions, appointments, honors.
  • Notable achievements.
  • "Looking for work"--send a paragraph explaining what you do and how to reach you.
  • Obituaries.

News to benefit other members

  • Technical courses, programs, seminars, lectures, lunch and learns, and tours open to members of the Section, a Society Chapter, or an Affinity Group Chapter.
  • Technical resources. A technical book or Website you found particularly useful.
  • Job openings.
  • Mentoring opportunities.
  • Updates on such groups as FIRST.

There is no "deadline." Just send information as you get it, and the Publications Officer will add it to the next eNL (if the item is appropriate and if space permits--and space nearly always permits).
