Radar Conference |

The IEEE, Kansas City Section has agreed to
sponsor the 2011 IEEE Radar Conference, to be held at the Westin
Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, MO the week of May 23-27, 2011.
As will be established in a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU):
As a co-sponsor with the Aerospace and Electronic
Systems Society of IEEE, the Kansas City Section will be entitled to
a percentage of the monetary surplus of the conference as determined
by the respective party’s sponsorship contribution. The IEEE
Radar Conference is the preeminent conference in the field of radar
held annually in the US and is attended by world-renowned experts in
radar systems and advanced radar technology.

My name is Josh Moles and I graduated in December
2008 from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Electrical
Engineering. I am interested in finding a job doing hardware design,
comm engineering, or systems engineering.
I am also a General class ham radio operator
(N5JSM) and have done a couple of internships at Garmin
International. I am currently living in the Kansas City area, but am
open to some opportunities outside of Kansas City as well. I am

for a direct hire position. They are looking for a Sr. Electrical
Engineer PE 5-8 years of experience. They prefer looking at
applicants that have healthcare experience.
Job Duties:
Working with clients on projects for commercial, hospital, or power
facilities.
Qualifications:
Electrical Engineers with 5 to 8 years of experience in a variety of
facility electrical systems and subsystems including power
distribution systems. Projects will include commercial design,
hospital design, Interior and exterior lighting, and Power
Distribution design.
The right applicant will have knowledge of Local energy codes and is
local to Kansas City.

Transmission, Distribution, Substation
Engineers.
Engineering consulting firm located in southern
Overland Park seeks engineers and designers experienced in the
design of high voltage transmission lines, substations, or
distribution lines. Prefer BSEE or BSCE, P.E. license and strong
technical background. Will be involved in the design, coordination,
administration, or management of power delivery projects for
electric utility clients.
- Transmission candidates will utilize
PLS_CADD software for line design, prepare material and
construction specifications, design structure foundations, and
administrate equipment and construction contracts.
- Substation candidates will layout HV and
EHV substations, prepare plans and specifications for major
substation equipment, protective relaying, and construction
contracts.
- Distribution candidates will perform
distribution system planning studies, design overhead and
underground lines, and prepare plans and specifications for
distribution facilities.
