Call for Volunteers for 2008 Section Officers
The Kansas City Section Nominations process for 2008
positions is underway. The nominations committee, under the direction of
Section Vice-chair Fred Granville, is developing a slate of nominees for the
Section Officers (Section Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary, and
Treasurer). If you're interested in a position or would like to suggest someone, please contact Fred at flg @flgnetworking.com (paste into your
e-mail client and remove the spaces).
Appointed positions also need filling. We have
an opening for Life Members Chair. PACE needs officers, and many Society
positions are open. Mark Lamendola has served as Publishing Officer for over 10 years
and would like
to pass the baton.
Visit the Officers page and look at the
open positions. If you're interested in a position
or would like to suggest
someone, please contact Fred Granville at flg@
flgnetworking.com.
If you have questions about what these positions entail,
you will find information on the Section Website
www.ieee-kc.org (no surprise there):
-
Click the Officers link, and you'll
see a link for Officer Duties--this information comes directly from the
Region 5 Officer Training Manual hardcopies.
-
The Section and Society officers
also have a resource called the BIC. In your browser address bar, just type
"bic" after the domain name. Click your bic, and you will be in the Business
Information Center.
-
You can also contact the current
officeholder, the Section Chair (Dick Hodgman, dick @hodgman.org), or the
Section Vice Chair (Fred Granville, flg@
flgnetworking.com) if you don't find your answer online.
