4. 7x24 Exchange
5. Looking for member news
|
The Website and eNL are Section publications. The IEEE Kansas City Section
exists to serve the local membership and the publications exist to communicate
to that membership. An unfortunate trend has emerged: These publications often
don't have much to communicate other than dinner meeting information.
Presumably, our members do more than attend dinner meetings.
If you have information on other activities of interest to a specific IEEE
Society or the Kansas City Section membership as a whole, please send that to
the Publications Officer (writer @ ieee.org). |
6. April Dinner Meeting Photos
|
The photos below show how well-attended this event was. Jack Sippel, the
speaker, holds the record for largest attendance at a dinner meeting
presentation (77 people), and when he was ComSoc Chair, he set the record for
the largest attendance at an IEEE Dinner Meeting (by one account, 63 people and
by another, 65). See the
archives to see what this program was about.

7. Thought for the Day
|
The more complex you make a process, the more likely it will
generate errors. This is why one goal of lean manufacturing (as exemplified by
Toyota) is to eliminate steps. The more you apply this to your work, the more
accurate and efficient you will be. What steps have you eliminated lately? |
Wishing you the best,
Mark Lamendola
