Program: The presentation will cover the problems with power quality that are encountered in the power industry. Discussion will focus on the many ways that power quality problems can be solved, and the pro's and con's of these solutions. The presentation will include case studies where these solutions have been successfully implemented. Presenter: Tony Andrews, Application Director-Power Quality Solutions, S&C Electric. Tony came to S&C from American Power Conversion where he spent over 10 years in various marketing, sales and technical roles. Tony has a degree from Arizona State University in Industrial Technology, with a focus on Aeronautical Technology. He spent over 10 years as a Naval Flight Officer on board the USS Coral Sea flying in the Grumman E2-C Hawkeye Airborne Early Warning platform. Location: Wyndham Garden Hotel, I-435 & Metcalf

Speaker for March 9, 2006: Richard Woods is president of Black Lantern Studios, a software game development company. He will be speaking about the current challenges, both technical and commercial, that face software game developers. He will also give us a peek into what the future may hold for electronic gaming. Speaker for May 11, 2006: John McMellen, Broadcast Engineer for KSMU radio, will speak about new technology that is developing in the broadcast radio industry. Program: PCS (Cell-Phone) Handset Development and Testing. Presenter: John Fessler, Principal Network Systems Engineer, Sprint. John works at the Sprint Technology
Integration Center, where he is the lead in acceptance testing of new Sprint
handset designs. Sprint buys about $1B worth of handsets per year, for
distribution around the country. His focus will be on CDMA radio-modem
performance and interoperability. He will present some interesting aspects and
