Many organizations have delayed installing wireless networks because they don't think they are
secure. Is that still a valid concern today? Attend the June dinner meeting and meet
Fred Granville of FLG Networking Services, who will speak on the current state of wireless
network security.

Summary of topics to be discussed include:

• The annual “World-Wide War Drive, and what it tells us about wireless network security
• Wireless security, as it was originally implemented in the 802.11b specification
• Why hackers love WEP
• Wireless hacking tools
• Adding additional layers of security
• WPA and other interim efforts to improve wireless network security
• “New and Improved” wireless security standards

If you operate a wireless network, this presentation will either have you patting yourself
on the back for your efforts, or running back to the office to upgrade your wireless security!

Formerly a senior services specialist with IBM Global Services, Fred Granville, CCNP is currently an
independent consultant providing networking services to a wide range of clients. Fred's services
