1. October Dinner Meeting Review

Senior Member Rick Bush gave an entertaining and informative talk about the confluence of business, politics, and technology in the electric utility industry (photo at right).

A walk around the room during the meals revealed lively discussions at each table. Students from as far away as Pittsburg were in attendance--and some of those students attend regularly (photo at right).

Also at this meeting, we held the 2005 Officer elections. All officers nominated by the Election Committee were elected.

Program: Working Styles

Working Styles is a fun and intriguing way of identifying your natural tendency of working with others, and identifying the styles of other people. For consultants, it can be extremely valuable in deciding how best to approach and work with a client. For employees, it can help foster effective working relationships with bosses and peers.

Danielle Rodenbough is the principal of Trouble at Work?, a human resources services firm that works with businesses of all sizes. Through her work, Danielle is regularly providing counsel on employee relations issues, performance management, culture development, time off practices, and legal compliance.

The firm also provides training and hiring assistance for jobs at all levels. Rodenbough typically works directly with the business owner to offer a solution that meets the unique needs of her clients.

Before pursuing her entrepreneurial venture, Rodenbough’s career included corporate and consulting assignments for Merck, General Electric, AT&T, Rhone Poulenc, TransAmerica Financial Management ,and Hallmark’s Crayola subsidiary.
