IEEE Senior Member Application Information

 

Attaining Senior Member Grade requires:

  1. Ten years of experience of which up to five years may be your undergraduate engineering education plus one year for a graduate degree;
  2. Five years of significant professional performance;
  3. Completed reference forms from three IEEE Senior Members and/or Fellows.

Based upon the above requirements, a graduate with a Masters degree could, under optimum conditions, have acquired the five years of significant professional performance by age 28!
